Send the exact assignment or rubric from your classroom and a custom sample written to it lands in 24 to 48 hours, the first one free. SOP-7200 is TESU’s Strategic Operations Management course. It covers strategic operations management in four modules: competitive operations strategies, processes and quality systems, responsive supply chains and inventories, and location, capacity and forecasting. What SOP-7200 is really about
The course uses Krajewski, Malhotra and Ritzman’s Operations Management, which links operations decisions to a firm’s competitive priorities. Module 1 covers operations strategy and how competitive priorities such as low cost, consistent quality and fast delivery shape process choices. Module 2 addresses process design, process analysis and quality systems, including statistical process control and lean approaches. Module 3 covers supply chain design and inventory management, from economic order quantities to safety stock. Module 4 turns to location decisions, capacity planning and forecasting.
Each written assignment consists of end-of-chapter problems that require calculations and interpretation for operations decisions, and the midterm asks for four similar problems on Modules 1 and 2. That makes the course more quantitative than many MBA courses. Students who work in operations, healthcare or logistics often find that the methods, such as capacity cushions, control charts and reorder points, apply directly to their jobs, and the group final project gives a chance to analyze a real operation.
What SOP-7200’s assessments ask for
Expect four written assignments of selected chapter problems, worth 22 percent together, six discussions, two synchronous events in Weeks 3 and 7, a midterm of four problems worth 20 percent and a group final project. Problems typically ask you to calculate a measure, such as capacity utilization, process capability, an economic order quantity or a forecast error, and then explain what decision it supports.
Where students lose points in SOP-7200
Problem sets lose points when answers lack the formula, the inputs or the units, or when the calculation is right but the interpretation is missing. A process capability index of 0.9 is a finding; saying that the process will produce defects and needs to be centered or improved is the answer. Students also mix up periods, such as annual and weekly demand in inventory formulas, and choose forecasting methods without comparing their errors.

SOP-7200 Module 1 assignment example
Problems 1: a composite Elizabeth, New Jersey, e-commerce fulfillment center, with labor productivity up 8.7 percent to 6.52 orders an hour, multifactor productivity up 8.5 percent, accuracy as a qualifier and a later same-day cutoff as the order winner, zone batch picking chosen for its order profile, and utilization of 80 percent against efficiency of 89.6 percent. SOP-7200 Module 2 assignment example
Midterm problems: the composite Elizabeth fulfillment center's packing line limited to 72 orders an hour by its pack station and raised to 90 with a second packer, 1,050 orders in process by Little's law, a p-chart with an upper limit of 1.76 percent that flags a 2.25 percent error day, and a Cpk of 1.17 for four-hour dock-to-ship time. SOP-7200 Module 3 assignment example
Problems 3: carton purchasing and client inventories at a composite Elizabeth, New Jersey, fulfillment center, with an economic order quantity of about 21,000 cartons, a 40,000-carton discount saving about $8,970 a year, a reorder point of 4,592 cartons with 592 in safety stock, turnover of 7.0 for one brand against 16.3 for another, and order swings 2.6 times larger than sales. SOP-7200 Module 4 assignment example
Problems 4: a second building for a composite Elizabeth, New Jersey, fulfillment center, with a center of gravity at (13.6, 28.0), Site 1 winning on load-distance (33,250 against 43,250) and factor rating (7.55 against 7.05), a capacity gap of about 3,735 orders a day at a 15 percent cushion, a staged expansion worth $2.22 million in expected value, and a trend forecast of about 72,400 weekly orders after a moving average's tracking signal reached 5.0. Using a SOP-7200 sample the right way
Send the problems from your module, and a first custom sample comes back free inside 24-48h. Read it for the pattern every operations answer should follow: formula, inputs with units, result and a decision. Then solve your own problems the same way.
How these samples are written
Operations samples here show every formula, input and unit, then state the decision the number supports, following Krajewski, Malhotra and Ritzman. Requests are worked from your module’s own problems.
SOP-7200 questions, answered
What textbook does SOP-7200 use?
Krajewski, Malhotra and Ritzman’s Operations Management, eleventh edition.
What does the SOP-7200 midterm cover?
Four problems similar to the written assignment problems, covering Modules 1 and 2.
How quantitative is SOP-7200?
Quite quantitative; written assignments and the midterm require calculations such as capacity, quality control, inventory and forecasting measures, with interpretation.
