ACC-5010 asks accounting students to work where accounting meets litigation: investigating fraud, preserving evidence and measuring loss in ways a court will accept. The samples here answer its short papers, case studies and final project with composite cases and real ones, each tied to the textbook and current research.

Send the exact assignment or rubric from your classroom and a custom sample written to it lands in 24 to 48 hours, the first one free. ACC-5010 is TESU’s Principles of Forensic Accounting course. It introduces forensic accounting at the graduate level, moving from the skills and legal framework of the field through fraud prevention and detection, digital forensics and data analytics, and fraudulent financial reporting to business valuation. What ACC-5010 is really about

The course reads Crain, Hopwood, Gendler, Young and Pacini’s Essentials of Forensic Accounting, and its six modules build a practitioner’s toolkit in order. Module 1 sets out what forensic accountants do and how their work differs from an audit, Module 2 the legal system they work within, from standards of proof to the rules on expert testimony, and Module 3 why occupational fraud happens and how it is caught. Module 4 adds digital evidence and data analytics, Module 5 schemes that distort financial statements, and Module 6 the valuation of closely held businesses in disputes.

Most of the grade comes from writing. Students answer questions about eight case studies and write four short papers on topics drawn from the modules, and a final project asks for a comprehensive forensic accounting strategy for a company that was hacked. That mix rewards students who can move between a specific set of facts and the principles behind them, and who can explain financial evidence in language a judge, a board or an insurer will follow.

What ACC-5010’s assessments ask for

Four short papers count 40 percent of the grade and eight case study assignments 22 percent, six discussion forums add 18 percent, and the final project, an academic paper of 2,000 to 2,800 words, counts 20 percent. Expect to compare forensic work with auditing, apply rules of evidence and privilege, analyze fraud schemes through fraud theory, design analytics, dissect a real financial statement fraud and value a closely held company.

Where students lose points in ACC-5010

Papers lose points when they treat the forensic accountant as a judge of guilt, when they list fraud theory or controls without tying them to the facts, or when they quote statistics without a source and year. In valuation and loss work, unsupported assumptions are the usual problem: every normalization adjustment, discount rate component and lost-profit input needs a reason a skeptical opposing expert would accept.
